Record Snowfall for the Midwest and Northeast
By: Lourdes Gonzalez
Snow’s covering the streets in the northern United States, bringing problems for every state. While Boston’s piling high with a record-setting 40.2 inches of snow, flights and classes are being cancelled more often than not. The storm is currently still powering on, dumping up to 19 inches of snow in the Chicago area.
Streets are closed down in some cities; because of this, the parade Boston was to hold for the Patriots was postponed until the fourth of February. Over 1,800 flights have also been cancelled both in to and out of the affected areas. Multiple airlines issued waivers for passengers to change their flights without penalty as the storm is inevitable.
